Smart Irrigation Solutions & Water Conservation

MORE GREEN.  LESS BLUE.

While we are qualified to assess and complete all irrigation repairs, our focus is on retro-fitting your existing system to allow you, the homeowner, to water more efficiently and without scrutiny from your local City officials. We specialize in the following areas:

drip-irrigationIn this process we will cap off all existing heads in each station of your landscaped beds except for 2. We will replace these 2 heads with pressure regulating heads with filters and begin running drip line around your plants. In a short amount of time you will have uniform coverage and efficient coverage for your landscape.

pressure-regulated-headDo you have sprinkler heads in some stations that seem to have less pressure than others? This can be a cause of too many heads in a station or low pressure across the entire station. We can install pressure regulating heads to increase the opportunity to have uniform coverage and pressure to ALL heads throughout the station.
Do you have extremely high pressure in your stations? Do you see a mist across the yard as the system is running? Believe it or not, this is more common than low pressure and wastes a tremendous amount of water through drift. With pressure regulating heads and/or valves we can control this flow of water so that you are running at optimal pressure.

rain_sensorHave you ever noticed the irrigation in your yard or a neighbor’s yard running during a rain storm, shortly after, or even on a morning where the temperatures are below freezing? This is certainly wasteful and can be dangerous.
Install a rain/freeze sensor and be done. Your irrigation timer will stay programmed and the rain/freeze sensor will only shut off your program when the sensor is wet and/or temperatures are below a specified degree. These can be hard wired into your timer or can be installed wirelessly.

Smart-Timer“Simple to Set” Smart Indoor/Outdoor Irrigation Timer that automatically adjusts all year based on current weather.
The Simple-To-Set Smart Controller saves you time, money, and water with Self-Adjusting Weather Sensing Technology that is so simple to use, you can FORGET THE INSTRUCTIONS.
The Simple-To-Set Smart Controller automatically adjusts your watering schedule to take into account both the seasons and current weather conditions. This allows the controller to optimally water plants year round without the need to constantly reprogram the controller throughout the year. This type of timer accomplishes this with a combination of a built in nationwide historical weather database and a Smart Weather Sensor that is included with the product.
Programming may include, entering your zip code, programming plant types and soil types, sprinkler head type and the watering schedule you prefer and the timer takes over making adjustments in the amount of watering either up or down as needed.

irrigation-auditWe have our own certified irrigation auditor on staff to help evaluate your system in its current condition or as needed to file reports for the city as required on a commercial level. In addition, our auditor is EPA Water Sense certified which means:

Water Sense is a U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Program designed to encourage water efficiency in the United States through the use of a special label on professional programs and consumer products.

WaterSense-PartnerWater Sense only labels programs that certify experienced irrigation design, installation/maintenance, and auditing professionals. Certified professionals must confirm their ability to assess critical soil/water/plant relationships and resulting impacts on irrigation system efficiency. They must renew their certification periodically to confirm their qualifications and demonstrate awareness of recent innovations and technology developments.

polymer-sandPolymers are a soil amendment designed to reduce plant waterings on average by 50%, reduce transplant shock and soil compaction, and remain effective in the soil for 3-5 years depending on soil type and the pH levels of the soil. It is an inexpensive form of insurance for the plant and is environmentally friendly.
AquaSmart’s polymer coated sand product is available in the form of a straight additive for increased moisture retention and growth of plants, flowers, trees, and grass/turf with water savings estimated at over 60%, in some cases based on soil and climate conditions. It is also available for blending by nurseries, landscapers, and large soil blending companies for their own use or supply to customers who prefer blending the coated sand product with mulch, top soil, or peat moss. Golf courses, in particular, can greatly benefit from the application of the coated sand product as a top dressing on fairways and greens, either as a straight additive, or in a blend. AquaSmart can suggest blending applications and rates based on request.
